Refund policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
We want paying for Pixie Studio to feel safe. Here's when you get Sparks or money back, and how to ask.
Failed renders refund automatically
If a render fails, the Sparks it was holding come back to you on their own. You don't need to ask. In a workflow, each step is charged only when it finishes. A step that fails is refunded, and so is one that hadn't started yet when you stopped the run.
If those Sparks expired while the render was running, you still get them back, and they last 7 more days.
A render that finishes is charged even if the result isn't what you hoped for, because the AI model has already done the work. Every action shows its price before you start.
Unused Sparks within 14 days
Changed your mind? Within 14 days of a purchase, you can ask us to refund the Sparks from it that you haven't used. This covers Spark packs and plan payments. If you haven't used any, you get the whole payment back; if you've used some, we refund the part that paid for the rest. Refunded Sparks leave your balance.
Free Sparks (daily, welcome and bonus Sparks) and earned Sparks from royalties have no cash value, so they can't be refunded. After 14 days, purchased Sparks can't be refunded, but you can keep using them until they expire.
How to ask for a refund
Reply to any email we've sent you, from the address you sign in with, and tell us what you bought and when. We refund to the payment method you used, and your bank may take a few days to show it.
Please talk to us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster.
Refunds and chargebacks take Sparks back
When we refund a payment, the Sparks it bought leave your balance (for a partial refund, its share of them). If you dispute a payment with your bank, known as a chargeback, all the Sparks it bought are taken back while the dispute is open.
We take back what's left of those Sparks first, then your other purchased Sparks, then free ones. If you've already spent them, your balance goes below zero: new Sparks of any kind pay that off first, and you can't start new renders until it's paid off.
If a dispute is closed in our favor, or a refund is cancelled, the Sparks come back. On a yearly plan, the monthly Sparks pause while that year's payment is disputed or fully refunded.
Subscriptions
You can cancel any time from Manage subscription in the Sparks window. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then ends, and you won't be charged again. You keep your plan Sparks until they expire.
We don't refund partial periods, whether that's days left after you cancel or Sparks you didn't use, except under the 14-day rule above or where the law requires it. Switching plans is prorated, so you pay, or get credit for, the difference.
Your rights under the law
Some countries and states give you extra rights to cancel a purchase or get a refund. Nothing in this policy takes those away. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
